I have three paintings in the Santa Barbara Art Association’s Summer Show at the Hutton Building at 1528 Chapala Street, “Bastille Day”, “Tears Fill the River Lethe”, and “The Acrobat”. The exhibit runs through September.
The Carpinteria Valley Art Association’s first summer show “Free Spirit” will be open at Gallery 855, 855 Linden Avenue in Carpinteria, from June 7th through July 29th, with the reception being held June 15th from 4-6pm at Gallery 855. The jurist was Karen Browdy, teacher, artist, and one of the founders of the Step One Gallery.

The Santa Barbara Tennis Club’s prestigious annual juried show this year is called “Twins” and runs from June 14th through July 5th at the SB Tennis Club, 2375 Foothill Road in Santa Barbara. The opening reception is June 14th from 5:30 to 7:30. The jurist was Susan Bush, a Curator of Contemporary Art the Sullivan Goss Gallery.

The SBAA’s June show at Gallery 113, 1114 State Street #8, in Santa Barbara has two of my paintings,

The Santa Barbara Art Association’s Summer Exhibition at the Meisel Gallery runs from May 17 through August 9 at the Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital, 2415 De La Vina in Santa Barbara. The jurist was Thomas Van Stein.
My painting “Molly and Leopold Bloom” won Honorable Mention.
The Abstract Art Collective’s show “Pathways” at the Jewish Federation Center runs from May 9 through August 14, located at 524 Chapala Street in Santa Barbara. The show was juried by Peggy Ferris and includes three of my paintings:
“Crazy Joey’s Table Umberto’s Clam House Little Italy April 7 1972 Just After 5AM”,
“The Power of Lipstick aka Burst”, and
“An Idea in Steve Jobs’ Head Circa 1975”.
FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH OF MAY I WILL HAVE MY FIRST MAJOR SHOW at Gallery 113 on State Street in downtown Santa Barbara. The opening reception will be Thursday, May 2, from 5 to 8; there will be a PRIVATE RECEPTION on Thursday, May 16, from 5 to 8 as well. The show includes almost all new pieces, ranging from the sensuous “Love Once Forbidden” and “Strong Beautiful Woman” to engaging thought provoking pieces such as “Tears of Time” and “Meet Me in Cyberspace”. Though barely opened, the show has already received favorable reviews from fellow artists. Please come by and take a look!
My painting “The Divine Considers Creating an Accident” is on display in Carpinteria at Gallery 855 in the Carpinteria Valley Art Council’s “Metamorphosis” Exhibit. The show was curated by Susan Bush, the Curator of Contemporary Art at the Sullivan Goss Gallery in Santa Barbara. The exhibit is open through the first week in May.
I have two paintings in the February-March 2013 show of the Carpinteria Valley Art Association‘s February/March exhibition “Space” which was juried by the esteemed artist Jill Sattler. Both paintings, “Fukushima, Nagasaki, Hiroshima” and “Ghosts of Sand Creek” point my work in exciting new directions.
I have one painting at the Faulkner Gallery in the Santa Barbara Library building which is open every day for viewing. This is the SBAA’s February exhibit and was juried by Canadian artist Gaye Adams. The painting “During the Hurricane” continues a new direction in my work.
I have two paintings on the main floor of Gallery 113, also during the month of February, which is a a set entitled “Jazzman Night” and “Jazzman Day”, perhaps completing this direction my work has taken in the last month.
I have a SECOND SHOW on the mezzanine at Gallery 113 in Santa Barbara which is open daily and will run through the month of February. It is an extension and a remake of my January show and is entitled “HEY LOOK, IT’S A SECOND WALL OF ART!” I hope you can come by and take a look. There are some very dramatic pieces in this exhibit, especially the painting of the “King”.
From January 1 through February 28, I have two paintings in the abstract art exhibition “Independent Studies” juried by Francis Scorzelli, on display in the UCSB Faculty Club at 552 University Road on the UCSB campus.” I am fortunate to have my painting “Acrobat” featured on the poster for this wonderful and exciting show
For the entire month of January, I have nine paintings in my show entitled “Hey Look, a Wall of Paintings!” on the mezzanine in Gallery 113 in La Acadia just off State Street in Santa Barbara.

I just found out that Iwill have my own wall in JANUARY 2013 at Gallery 113 featuring all new work! For me this a big deal since it is the first time I will be able to group my paintings into a show and hang whatever wherever. Very cool. I hope you can stop by and take a look.
